Fitness Has Always Been My Cornerstone
I grew up on a ranch in the redwood forest, found weightlifting at 16, and ended up studying what exercise does to the brain. I could talk about it for hours.
Fitness has always been a cornerstone of my life.
I grew up on a ranch in the redwood forest, caring for four horses, three dogs, an aviary of birds, a pond of koi fish, and a garden. That upbringing taught me a level of mental and physical discipline that I didn't know was unique until later in life.
I fell in love with fitness, particularly weightlifting, when I was 16. It quickly became something more meaningful to me than aesthetics. What it does for my mind is just as important as what it does for my body.
That's one of the many reasons I studied neuroscience. I was very interested in how exercise alters the brain on a physiological level. I could talk about it for hours. It has truly changed my life.
